All our brands are researched and fully considered to create a compelling brand story that will speak to its audience in eaxctly the right way. At Tonik we always provide two concepts to the client – although we believe in the strength a confident one concept approach has, it leaves us feeling like there could be something more. Not only does offering two branding solutions allow the client to navigate choices and come to an informed decision, it also allows the designer to think freely and explore different avenues.
Most often it’s a tough call between which concept is deemed the ‘winner’ in both parties’ eyes, but the one with the greater story and flexibility as a brand wins (and so it should be!) but there’s a often a good looking runner-up in the wings that rarely gets to see the light of day. We never re-use concept work again… and we just think its such a shame for the thought and execution to get lost in the sea of the server.
Ever in-keeping with the Tonik mantra of ‘sharing is caring’ we will be sharing the ‘other’ concepts on the journal that didn’t quite make it into the wild.
For this concept, we wanted to create a fresh clean spa feel – almost as if you could feel the breeze from the sea whilst getting a massage. The final concept over on the portfolio features warm hues, and bronze foiling for a more opulent vibe…. whereas this is much more about the clean lines and fresh ocean scents.
